We’ve gathered together some information about the Berkshires and the Autism Treatment Center of America Campus so that you will have the most loving, nurturing and comfortable experience possible. Our Campus
Located on a pastoral 100-acre campus nestled in the beautiful Berkshires of western Massachusetts, our property offers trail hikes, waterfalls, wildlife, woodlands, elegant sunrises and breathtaking vistas. From blazing fall foliage and soft downy snows to the lush green hills and explosions of life in spring and summer, the Option Institute offers a year-round picturesque backdrop in which to live, learn and grow. Explore the surrounding community and countryside beginning with the Appalachian Trail, which borders our property, along with a host of seasonal sports such as biking, swimming, canoeing, golf, cross-country and downhill skiing.
Accommodations
Lodging and meals are included in our program tuition. WiFi is also available in all of our accommodations.
STANDARD LODGING
Enjoy the natural setting of our comfortable, modern guesthouses: The Woodland House, The Ravine House and The Arbor House. Standard accommodations are two or three people per room with hallway baths.
PRIVATE LODGING
Experience all of the features of our standard lodging package without a roommate.
LUXURY SUITES
We also provide luxury suites in the Taylor Roy Residence. Relax in our spacious rooms, each with two queen beds, telephone, Internet service, mini-refrigerator, fax machine and private bath. These should be reserved early.
DINING
We serve 3 healthy and delicious meals per day. All meals are served buffet style and consist of a variety of foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, meat, cheese, eggs, tofu, breads and a salad bar. Dine inside under the flags representing the countries of our attendees, or enjoy our scenic hillside campus while dining on our adjoining outdoor patio.
FITNESS & WELL-BEING
Our Fitness Center features two stair climbers, two elliptical trainers, an exercise bike, a treadmill, free-weights and 12 independent workstations covering every major muscle group. From beginners to gym veterans, the Fitness Center is a great way to get in shape, stay in shape, or simply get your body moving while you are here for a program.
For those of you who prefer the outdoors, you can enjoy an invigorating hike leading to the mountaintops. The historic Appalachian Trail borders Institute property and offers glorious views of the Berkshire countryside. Mountain bikes are also available for rental while you are here. Some participants bring their swimming gear and enjoy a quick dip in our nearby running brook.
New England Charm
The Autism Treatment Center of America sits in a picture postcard pastoral environment in lovely New England. We not only have the best of art and cultural activities, but villages filled with boutiques, antique stores, and fine restaurants for everyone’s palate.
Explore the surrounding community and countryside, beginning with the Appalachian Trail, which borders our property, along with a host of seasonal sports such as biking, swimming, canoeing, golf, cross-country and downhill skiing. In the summer, the arts flourish with nearby theater, dance and music, including Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Come and enjoy the New England charm.
